I took a ton of band photos at the Nashville Boogie (my third, Heather’s second).
I spend quite a bit of time thinking about music–listening to it, discussing it, filming or photographing people making it, and more. It’s easy to get caught up in all of that thinking and miss experiencing it. Our night with Richie Scholl at the Bootlegger’s Inn before the Nashville Boogie was a great reminder of why I do it all.

Seattle recently lost a bit more of its color: Leroy Menswear closed its doors for the last time on Saturday. The proprietor, Leroy Shumate, has been battling cancer and can’t run the shop any more. His kids put on a big sale over the weekend and it felt like the whole city showed up.
